Full course description
- Identify the anatomical landmarks for accurate ECG electrode placement and the equipment required to record a 12-lead ECG. • Recognise the conventional reporting format for a 12-lead electrocardiograph.
- Identify the component waveforms, intervals, segments, and timings of a normal ECG complex. • Apply a recognised tool to establish the presence of the constituents which would render to 12lead ECG ‘normal’.
- Identify cardiac axis utilising quadrant/hexaxial methods and relate results to possible causes of deviation
- Apply a systematic approach to the interpretation of a 12-lead ECG.
