This course gives the participants the opportunity to understand how enriched care plans enable us to meet the needs of people living with dementia.
Participants will be provided with an understanding of how dementia affects a person within the context of a persons life history, psychological and emotional needs and the social and physical environment
By the end of the course participants will understand how gathering information is important to inform care planning which reflects the unique needs, wishes and desires of individuals who are living with dementia
Be able to recognise the difference between person centred and non person centred language used in care plans.
Participants will gain knowledge and skills around enriched care planning which they will be able to apply practically within their own work setting
Participants will hear from Experts by Experience about their own experiences
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an e-certificate for their CPD records.

Cancellations must be made via email to dementia@bradford.ac.uk. For places cancelled by the Monday four weeks before the start of the course, the full course fee will be refunded. Between the following Tuesday and the second Monday before the course, inclusive, a charge of 50% of the fee will be made. After that day, or for non- attendance, the full amount will be payable.
